Advice for parents / carers
Listen to your children's concerns and reassure them. Help them find positive ways to express feelings; sometimes engaging in a creative activity, such as drawing can help. Make opportunities for children to play, have fun and laugh.
Keep to regular family routines as much as possible or create new ones. Remember children will observe adults’ behaviour for cues on how to manage their own emotions at difficult times.
Although this time may be difficult now, children may look back at this time and have happy memories of spending quality time with family and doing fun things together.
