Rapid testing at local pharmacies

Do not attend a pharmacy if you are displaying any of the following symptoms or are currently self isolating:

  • High temperature;
  • New continuous cough; and / or
  • Loss or change to sense of smell or taste.

If you have symptoms, self isolate and book a test for those with symptoms through the national testing portal.

Collect and on-site rapid tests

There are more than 100 pharmacies county-wide with rapid testing kits for people collect and use at home. When you collect rapid tests kits from your local pharmacy, you will need a collect code. You can get this by visiting GOV.UK's collect code page or calling 119. With a collect code, you can collect up to two packs of tests (7 tests in each pack).

Many pharmacies have come on board to offer on-site testing with the support of trained staff, who can help guide you through the process of doing a test, as well as taking care of processing the test and recording the results.

You can find your local collect and on-site testing locations by tying your postcode into the NHS site finder map.
