Report a serious breach of covid-19 rules
We recognise that non-adherence to measures introduced to prevent the spread of Coronavirus can occur and that this can causes distress and increase the risk of spreading Covid-19. If you spot a business or an individual not adhering to the measures put in place to keep us safe, here is what you should do.
Organisations and businesses – potential Covid-19 breaches
If non-adherence is observed within a business or workplace, the relevant district’s environmental health team should be informed. Each district now has dedicated Covid Compliance Officers who will be able to investigate risk assessments to help evaluate compliance and adherence to Covid procedures. These officers can also provide advice on hosting Covid-19 secure events (when permitted under national guidance).
In order to inform the relevant environmental health team, those wishing to report non-adherence should visit the relevant district’s website. Alternatively, each environmental health team can be contacted via their department email list below:

If non-adherence is observed in the public domain, it is an enforcement issue and dealt with as a police matter. See the Gloucestershire Police Covid-19 advice pages for more information.
