Test, trace and isolate
If you test positive for COVID-19 it’s really important that you share information about your recent contacts promptly and accurately so that they can be alerted if they need to self-isolate.
How will I be told if I am close contact?
- A text or call from the national Test and Trace team.
- A call from Gloucestershire County Council’s contact tracing team.
- If may be necessary to try and visit people at their home if they can’t be contacted by phone.
- An alert through the NHS Test and Trace App.
People who are asked to self-isolate will be signposted to local practical and mental health support to help them whilst they stay at home.
If you are likely to experience financial hardship as a result of having to self-isolate you could be entitled to a Test and Trace Support Payment or a discretionary payment of £500. You may also be able to get financial support through your district council.
