Childminders Support

The Early Years and Child Development team support Childminders in Gloucestershire, offering advice and support on a range of issues including:

  • Support to all prospective childminders
  • Pre-Ofsted inspection support
  • Support with working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Support and guidance with quality improvement, risk assessments, policies and procedures

  • For Business support, including employing staff and working with assistants, please contact the Business team.
  • For support for childminders who wish to receive 2, 3 and 4-year-old funding, please contact the Funding team.

Childminding Network Meetings

Childminding can be isolating, and the network meetings provide opportunities for sharing practice, discussing issues and time for professional conversations. The Meetings often have a theme or guest speakers which are advertised on GCC+.  Please come along and let me know what sessions would be useful in the future. Childminding Support Groups

There are various childminding support groups in the county, including Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bishops Cleeve and The Forest of Dean.  These are run by childminders, for childminders.  Please contact Caroline for further details.
