Send parents booklet created for children to see their new school/teachers

Invite children into reception for a visit (supported by parent or EY provider)

Teacher to visit pre-school setting to meet and get to know children

Invite parents to information session at school

Teacher to undertake home visits for children not in a setting

For children with additional needs in Summer Term 2 of their pre-school year, work with families and early years providers to finalise transition arrangements, observe the child within their early years setting, and provide additional visits, resources and support, such as photographs of key people and places, to support a successful start to school.
