Educational Psychology Service (EPS) Helpline

The Educational Psychology Service provides a telephone advice line for early years professionals on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am until 12.30pm. Call 01452 427070 to talk to an Educational Psychologist.

Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)

The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service is a countywide specialist service, run by the NHS, for children and young people aged 0 – 18 and their families and carers. They work within a variety of locations including preschool settings.

Early Help

Early Help is about getting timely and effective support to children, young people and their families who need it, and also focuses on how families can be supported to do things for themselves and build on their strengths.

The services they offer provide a range of advice guidance and support directly to families or other practitioners who are supporting them, alongside a range of targeted services where more help is needed. Please click the link below for their 'Request for Support Form'.

Gloucestershire Carers are an organisation commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council and NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group. They provide information and guidance on a wide range of subjects and are there to support and listen to carers. Health Visiting Service

All families with a child aged 0-5 years living in Gloucestershire should receive a Health Visiting Service.  There are Health Visiting teams based in Children's Centres, GP surgeries, Community Health clinics within all localities across Gloucestershire.  For contact details, please follow the link below and click on the map where you live to reveal the right information.

The Health Visiting Service is a workforce of specialist community public health nurses who provide expert advice, support and interventions to families with children in the first years of life, and help empower parents to make decisions that affect their family’s future health and wellbeing. This service is led by health visitors and supported by a skill mix team.
