The Advisory Teaching Service (ATS) is a Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) advisory support service.

We continue to work on the development of our SEND funding system and the move towards a common banding system.

Gloucestershire County Council has the statutory responsibility for the co-ordination of all school offers for those children starting school for the first time in reception, those transferring from an infant to junior school  and those transferring to secondary school in year 7.

Moving on to the next stage of education is an exciting time for children, young people and their families.

As part of the wider Joint Additional and High Needs Transformation programme, the Team Around the Locality Cluster (TALC) and Intervention Circle (IC) provide multi-disciplinary support for Gloucestershire’s children and young people who are experiencing barriers to Education.
