This December Holiday, Gloucestershire County Council is providing vouchers to parents who have signed up to our Holiday Free School Meals (FSM) scheme. These vouchers are provided by Gloucestershire County Council as part of its commitment to ‘no child goes hungry’. Parents who have signed up to the scheme will receive a voucher of £30 for each child who is eligible for FSM, which will cover both weeks for the holiday period.


Applications for Holiday Free School Meal Vouchers for Christmas half term will open from Tuesday 30 November until midday on Monday 13 December.

Emails from selectcode will be sent out between 13 and 15 December.

If you have signed up previously you do not need to re-register, and we are encouraging any parents not already signed up to do so as soon as they can.


How does it work?

Before the school holiday starts you will receive an email from selectcode@select-yourreward.co.uk which will have a link to select the supermarket you would prefer to shop with. After selecting your supermarket, the voucher will usually come through within one hour of confirming your choice; however this can take up to 48 hours.

Please note that our Holiday Free School Meal scheme is not the same scheme as the EdenRed vouchers provided by the school during term-time. You will still need to register to our scheme to receive holiday vouchers even if you receive vouchers during term-time from EdenRed.

This is also separate to the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) funded by the Department for Education.

 

Frequently asked questions

 

No. If you have received a voucher through the council’s scheme during previous holidays you do not need to reapply, your voucher will be sent to you automatically.

Yes. Nearer the time, we will announce that applications are open with a link to the form. We will also link to the application form on this page.

You will receive an e-mail from the following e-mail address: selectcode@select-your-reward.co.uk . This is not spam, but may come through into your junk/spam folder, so please check this regularly.

Once you have clicked on the link within the e-mail and selected the supermarket you would like to shop at, the e-voucher should come through within one hour of redemption. If for any reason your voucher does not come through after having selected your supermarket, please contact Select Code on the following number: 0344 693 9901 or here: https://www.select-your-reward.co.uk/ContactUs

The vouchers will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided. If you have received vouchers previously and your e-mail address has changed since then, please e-mail the following address: Childrensfund@gloucestershire.gov.uk providing details of your name, your child’s name, your old e-mail address, your new e-mail address and whether you first registered for vouchers in previous school holidays since October 2020.

You should receive your initial e-mail between the 13-15 December. If you have not received your voucher by noon on the 15 December, please e-mail: Childrensfund@gloucestershire.gov.uk providing details of your name, and your child’s name, explaining that you have not received the e-mail.

The following supermarkets are part of this voucher scheme:

• Morrison's
• Asda
• Tesco
• Aldi
The vouchers can also be used online at asda.com if you are unable to access a supermarket.

You will receive a voucher equivalent to your free school meal entitlement of £15 per child per week. For the winter holiday period, you will receive the total amount for both weeks of the scheme. For example, if you have two children you will receive one £60 voucher.

If you have not registered previously, please sign up using the “sign up for holiday free school meals vouchers” button above. If you had previously registered other children and need to register a new child, please contact Childrensfund@gloucestershire.gov.uk with the name, school and age of the new child.
