A play based intervention for children with Social Communication difficulties or a diagnosis of Autism.
Research shows well informed interventions like Construction Clubs run by skilled and knowledgeable practitioners help children learn how to communicate and work co-operatively with their peers.
This is a very practical course which provides information about how to set up effective Construction Clubs based upon the research of Daniel B LeGoff et al 2014.
Every candidate needs to bring one small Lego kit suitable for children between the ages of 6 to12 years.

Who is this course for? Adults working with children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. The adult needs to be in a position to work with one or more children once a week for at least a term. Ideally the adult will have some knowledge of Autism and Social Communication difficulties.
- Attendees will have an understanding of how to set up and run a Construction Club.
- They will have an assessment tool for evaluating progress.
