About the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)
This winter we are offering four days of activities and events for children and young people eligible for Free School Meals.
This scheme, called the Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF), is in partnership with district councils, the voluntary sector and other organisations in the county and is funded by the Department for Education.
The HAF programme's purpose is to make sure children and young people are entertained, active, educated, safe and fed between 20 December and 23 December .
How will it work?
The HAF Winter programme will run from Monday 20 December to Thursday 23 December 2021. Each day, activities and events across the county will be available either in person, or online. Each district area will have its own page so you can find activities closest to you and what is being offered.
Some in-person activities will also need you to sign up in advance so the providers know which children and young people are coming to join that day's fun and games. A meal or food kit will also be provided, dependant on each district's offer.
You will be able to sign up to our Children Activities Booking System (CABS) from November.
Bookings for the free activities and food provision will be available to book from 1 December.
