The past 12 months
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we are proud to say that our work has been unwavering and our 3,965 employees have continued to deliver high quality services to our residents, businesses and visitors alike. We have made great progress against our ambitions to date and have defined a clear focus for the future of Gloucestershire and how we can work with our communities and partners to bring about the required changes.
We have worked hard to move forward projects that will secure future growth, including progressing work with partners on Junctions 9 and 10 of the M5 motorway and the A417 missing link, as well as improving our superfast broadband network, which has become more important than ever this year.
We have shown strong leadership in tackling climate change and have made significant progress with our climate change commitments. We have invested in new, improved and carbon-neutral school facilities, as well as additional investment in our children and family services to help improve the experiences and outcomes for our young people. We have also delivered significant new or improved cycling and walking infrastructure and continue our essential flood alleviation work.
