About this event
Our ‘have a go day’ event will provide an opportunity to meet our crews, our wider teams and also ask questions enabling you to find out more about the role of a firefighter within Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service alongside other opportunities to join us.
Our teams will provide you with their first-hand experience of what being a firefighter is like and you can also take part in activities, including trying out some of the fitness tests, which are required to become a firefighter within our Service.
You will also discover how rewarding a career can be with us and learn about the potential opportunities for career progression.
The event will include a tour of the fire station, and the opportunity to talk to our teams who will be always be on hand to offer their insight, advice, and support.
The event is free, and there is no obligation to apply if you attend, we want to simply provide you with an understanding of the job-related tests that you will need to successfully complete, upon application, for you to meet us, and answer any questions you may have.
