Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service is an integral part of the county council and incorporates other community safety related services such as Emergency Management, Trading Standards, Coroners and Safe and Social Driving.

GFRS numbers

  • 21 community fire stations.
  • 33 frontline fire appliances strategically located across Gloucestershire.
  • 170 wholetime firefighters, 253 on call firefighters, 20 control staff and 50 non-operational staff.
  • Current revenue budget of approximately £16 million.
