Early Years and Key Stage 1
CORONAVIRUS: Please note that in response to the current situation we are not making bookings for fire engine visits until further notice. Thank you.
If you are within Gloucestershire County Council’s area, our Early Years Education team can bring a fire engine to your setting. For preschool age children we have a short session about staying away from matches/lighters and afterwards the children can get up close to and inside the fire engine – if the weather permits, the children can also have a go a squirting water from the hose!
The Early Years team also come out to reception and KS1 classes to deliver fire safety education sessions. Where possible, we will base these around your curriculum topic (People Who Help Us, All About Me, Great Fire of London, etc) and the children will have a chance to come out to the fire engine after our talk in the classroom.
There is no charge for these sessions.
To request a visit by the education team please contact us with details of your setting, year group/topic and any preference of day and morning/afternoon slots via email@example.com and we’ll be in touch soon!
