Family Link Plus is looking to recruit new carers to offer short breaks to children with disabilities. Come along to one of our information stands to find out more.

Gloucestershire County Council is looking for carers who can provide overnight, day-care or even just a few hours care to children and young people with disabilities.
Family Link Plus which is run by Gloucestershire County Council, provides tailored support packages, in and out of the family home to families with disabled children aged 0-18 years. They offer both day and night care for disabled children and young people, offering care in the forms of weekend breaks and short breaks from the family home during school holidays.
The service are looking for applicants with experience of caring for disabled children and those with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential. They are looking for people with an understanding of children's needs and willingness to learn new things and embrace new challenges. Ongoing training and a full support package will be provided. To be Family Link Plus carer you must be over the age of 21. However, there is no upper age limit and carers can be single, a couple or a family.

The team will be at Stroud Leisure Centre on Tuesday 20 October, 4pm-7pm and the Gloucester Farmer’s Market on the cross in the city centre on Friday 14 December from 9am-3pm. Our friendly staff will be ready to answer any questions you may have and will be on hand to give you more information as well as a closer insight into the life changing work they do.
