Brand New Year, brand new road for Montpellier
As part of the county council’s £150m investment in Gloucestershire’s roads; Cheltonians will benefit from a pothole free road in the coming weeks.
Montpellier Terrace in Cheltenham is a popular town centre route and requires resurfacing from the junction of Suffolk Parade to the junction of Bath Road. The road will be closed from Wednesday 9th January to Tuesday 15th January 2019 (excluding weekends). To help minimise inconvenience and disruption the work will take place between 9:30am to 3:30pm to allow the road to be open during peak times.
Please bear with us as our work start and finish dates may have to change at short notice due to winter factors such as heavy rain, changes in temperatures and other weather events. All updates will be available on www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/resurfacing or social media @GlosRoads and GloucestershireRoads
Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways and flood, said: “As part of our £150 million promise, we are continuing to invest in our local roads during 2019 to ensure we keep our county moving. Resurfacing Montpellier Terrace in Cheltenham means road users will benefit from improved driving conditions into the future, and I’d like to thank local residents for their patience while this work is carried out.”
