Gloucestershire Music: Your chance for F.A.M.E.

Published
27.02.2018

Family and friends are invited to learn various musical instruments for FREE. You’d better be quick though – there’s only 100 places!

Gloucestershire Music (GM) is teaming up with BBC Radio Gloucestershire and Music for All for a F.A.M.E. (First Access Music Ensembles) morning on March 17th.

The event invites children aged 7+, including adults, to learn various brass, string and woodwind instruments.

Children or adults will be able to learn a musical instrument for the first time during this event as part of the national ‘learn to play weekend’.

They will have the opportunity to choose an instrument and receive lessons at one of two F.A.M.E. Academies.

Cllr Richard Boyles, cabinet member for children and young people at Gloucestershire County Council said: “The F.A.M.E. morning is a fantastic opportunity for families in Gloucestershire to develop new or hone existing musical skills.

“I would encourage as many families as possible to sign up before the available places are gone.”

The F.A.M.E. Academy morning is being held at two venues across Gloucestershire at the same time on Saturday 17th March 2018.
