No child will go hungry in Gloucestershire this half-term
Children in Gloucestershire who are entitled to receive Free School Meals, will again be supported with vouchers over February half-term.
All eligible pupils who registered and received support during the October and Christmas holidays, will automatically receive vouchers for February. Parents and carers do not need to register again.
Any families who believe they are eligible, but who have not already registered by either of these routes, can apply for the support here.
Cllr Mark Hawthorne, leader of Gloucestershire County Council said: “Last year, we made a commitment to ensure that no child in Gloucestershire goes hungry during the Covid-19 pandemic, and we will keep that commitment this February half-term. A good meal each day is the very least every child should have.’
“Thanks to the work our teams put in during October and again at Christmas, we can now quickly deliver support to all those who registered with us then. However, we know that there are more people that could benefit from this support, so I would urge anyone who is eligible to apply, via our website. We all need help sometimes, and it’s what we’re here for.”
Eligible families will need to be registered by Friday, 5 February to ensure vouchers can be processed in time for half term. Vouchers will be sent via email.
