UPDATE: Restrictions on emails have been lifted

We now have sufficient confidence our systems and servers have not been affected by the recent cyber attack on our ICT provider, Sopra Steria, that we have lifted the block on external emails.

As you would expect, there are a large number of emails that have been quarantine but work is well under way to release them and should be completed by the end of tomorrow (Friday).

Thank you for your patience and support whilst we have worked to safely resolve the situation.

Jobs on offer at recruitment event

Gloucestershire County Council is working with 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts to recruit to a range of roles.

The aim of this event is to attract a wide range of people to come and work in our services.

The event, which takes place in Cheltenham on Saturday 12th November, will host stalls from a wide range of employers, including Gloucestershire County Council, 2gether NHS Foundation Trust, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Gloucestershire Care Services and NHS Gloucestershire CCG.

People can meet employers, who are actively looking for candidates, face-to-face. They will be able to talk about the vacancies currently on offer and, in some cases, interviews for some vacancies will take place on the day.

There will also be a number of speakers, focusing on a range of topics, including returning to practice and mental health nursing.

Cllr Ray Theodoulou, cabinet member for finance and change said, "This is a great opportunity to find local employment and talk to a range of employers so please do come along on 12th November and see what's on offer."

Carol Sparks, director of organisational development, 2gether NHS Foundation Trust, said, "We are looking for people who want to work in clinical and non-clinical roles. We are looking for nurses, doctors, other clinical staff and, in particular, people who want to work in our in-patient and community mental health teams.

"We are a forward thinking trust and we want to not only encourage people to return to practice, but also to encourage people to explore other routes into mental health nursing, such as apprenticeships and through opportunities for students. There really will be opportunities for all."

The fair runs 10am to 4.30pm and will be held at Jury's Inn, Cheltenham.
