"Regardless of whether Clive wins or not, I am so proud of all his hard work, and the whole social care team in Gloucestershire for all their continued work and dedication.
"Gloucestershire County Council is still looking for more fantastic social workers to join our brilliant teams and I would urge all social workers to visit http://www.gccsocialcarejobs.co.uk/ and find out more about why Gloucestershire could be the place for you."
Clive Diaz, principal social worker - practise learning, said: "It was such an honour to have even been nominated, but being shortlisted is really amazing.
"Being a social worker can be difficult at times, but it is also so rewarding when we see successes of those we are trying to help. I couldn't do my job without the constant support of managers and the teams I work with and would like to thank everyone for their constant hard work."
