Garden Party – you’re all invited!
Come and see the new Gloucestershire Heritage Hub and community garden at the Heritage Hub Garden Party on Sunday 8 September, everyone is welcome.
The Heritage Hub Garden party is part of the Gloucester History Festival, which runs from 7 to 22 September and celebrates both international and local history, heritage and culture.
The Garden Party will take place on 8 September from 1.30pm to 5pm at the Heritage Hub on Alvin Street, Gloucester. There will be tours of the new building, a camping inspired family-friendly performance in the garden, Taynton Metal Detecting Club’s display of finds, a celebration of 100 years of Gloucestershire Deaf Association, and more. The event is free for all to attend and no booking is required. Light refreshments will also be available.
Cllr Lynden Stowe, cabinet member for finance and change (whose brief includes Archives), said: “The Garden Party is a great opportunity to see the new wildlife- friendly community garden and the fantastic new Heritage Hub facilities. I’m delighted to see so many community groups involved with this event.”
