Community Events

The Lieutenancy attends around 100 Community Events each year.  We do so on behalf of His Majesty The King and welcome invitations, ideally more than a month in advance. 

Invitations range from attending relatively small but important celebrations in local communities to large-scale events for charities or in locations such as Gloucester Cathedral.

If you would like a member of the Lieutenancy Team to attend your event, please contact neena.jude@gloucestershire.gov.uk with an outline of the occasion and what might be requested of the Lord-Lieutenant, Vice Lord-Lieutenant or Deputy Lieutenant.

In preparation for the visit, you will be asked to provide details of what the Lord-Lieutenant, Vice Lord-Lieutenant or Deputy Lieutenant can expect by way of car parking, welcome, recognition during the welcome address, who they will meet and the anticipated length of the visit.
