Queen Elizabeth II Digital Memorial

At the request of the Cabinet Office, Lieutenancies across the UK are being asked to promote the launch of the Queen Elizabeth Digital Memorial.

To mark the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation on 2 June 1953, this lasting legacy, (launched by the Honours and Memorialisation Office in London), will form an important ‘public history’ archive.

With your help – the Gloucestershire Lieutenancy is seeking to promote the collection of memories from across the County to mark the Coronation, Jubilee Celebrations, and memories of Queen Elizabeth II and beyond.

Please cascade this message to the community organisations within your area, in the hope of reaching as many key audiences as possible to share their memories of our late Queen.

We hope Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire will be well represented by stories about Britain's longest-serving Monarch.

Many thanks and best wishes

Edward Gillespie OBE
Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire
