GovDelivery authors

Training material to help GovDelivery authors create, edit, and send mail (and SMS) bulletins.
(Based on these training notes prepared by John Porter.)

Content:

  • Creating or editing a newsletter - Basic or Advanced
  • Viewing stats for bulletins
  • Copying sent bulletins
  • Adding subscribers and the 'subscribe' link
  • Things to remember
  • Video recording of a training session
  • Once your bulletin is sent click Bulletins from the left hand side and click the Sent tab from along the top
  • Click the View report button next to bulletin you want details for
  • If the bulletin was sent a while ago select an appropriate date range at the top of the page (it will only show the last week by default)
  • You will get a report on your bulletin – the key stats are unique opens (number of separate recipients who opened the bulletin), unique clicks (number of clicks on links in your bulletin from separate email recipients). Unique in this report means counting multiple opens or click by the same recipient as a single event.
