Gloucestershire Shared Lives Medication Administration policy
People who use Gloucestershire Shared Lives services are encouraged to manage their own medicines unless this would put them or other people at risk.
If a risk assessment confirms that someone needs help with their medicines, carers can provide different levels of support. This policy explains carer responsibilities and the controls that are used to make sure that people are supported to take their medicines safely and in a way that preserves their rights, dignity and independence.
