Medication Administration in Adult Social Care Day Centres policy
Adults who use day centre services are encouraged to remain responsible for their own medication if they are able to do so. Day centre staff will provide varying levels of support where this is not possible. Risk assessment is used to determine the exact level of support that is needed.
Day centre staff must be trained and competent before they can assume responsibility for medication. This policy sets out control requirements for medication administration, storage and disposal at day centres for adults.
