Who can help?

The Gloucestershire Carers Emergency Scheme (CES) can help. It will help to give you peace of mind that the person that you care for will receive support if an emergency arises which prevents you from caring for them.

Emergency situations for example could be:

  •  becoming ill or having an unplanned hospital admission;
  •  other family emergencies; and / or
  •  being delayed due to unexpected travel issues.

How CES works

You will be given a carers card with a helpline number to call if an emergency arises and you are unable to carry out your caring role.

The scheme will ensure that the person you care for is supported either by a friend or relative or a support worker.
