Learning materials for those working with service users with Dementia

Social Care Information and Learning Services (Scils) have produced learning materials specifically for working with service users with Dementia. The titles of the materials available are "Defining Dementia" and "Dementia and Confusion - How to respond". The learning materials are available for download and can be used while either on a computer or in hard copy format for people who do not have access to a computer. Online evidence booklets have been produced to enable learners to submit answers electronically to their manager/trainer for guidance and assessment.

There are currently over 200 topics on the Scils website (www.scils.co.ukOpens new window) , please note these resources are no longer funded, I hope those of you who do regularly use SCILS will be able to find alternative learning and information sources and would also like to point out that organisations can subscribe to SCILS in their own right, with user profiles re-activated once the Council’s  licence ends (contact stephen.kitsios@scils.co.uk).
