Join the Friends of Gloucestershire Archives on a visit to Gloucester Cathedral. Includes a visit to the library and archives, the tribune gallery's interactive exhibition and the organ loft. Afterwards, tables have been reserved for tea at "Clementine" on Westgate Street.

 

2:15pm: assemble in the South Porch

2:30pm: library and archives, including examples of early music manuscripts with Cathedral Librarian and Archivist, Rebecca Phillips

3:15pm: interactive exhibition at the tribune gallery

4:00pm: organ loft, with a demonstration by Jonathan Hope, assistant director of music

4:30pm: tea at "Clementine" (not compulsory, please indicate if you wish to join this part)

 

Cost: FoGA member £10, guests £12.50 (not including tea)

 

Members' priority booking from 10 October 2019; booking open for guests from 21 October 2019. Numbers limited to 20.

 

Advance booking is essential and a form can be downloaded from the Friends of Gloucestershire Archives website. Forms can also be found on the reception desk at the Heritage Hub.
