The Cam Woodfield Trial
Cam Woodfield includes the junior school, the infant school and The Woodfield Nest Pre-School & Out of School Club. All three sites are collaborating to help make the commute safer and healthier for everyone, particularly focused on Elstub Lane which has become a 'bottle-neck'. The School Streets trial proposes, by way of an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order, to legally close part of this street to most of the traffic at school opening and closing times. It is hoped that this trial will further encourage a reduction in numbers of children being driven to school and to improve air quality at peak times.
