Accessibility

This section covers Transport Accessibility and Internet Access and Usage.

Overview

Transport

It is essential to ensure that wherever people live in the county, they have access to public services. The rural nature of much of Gloucestershire creates problems for people wanting to use centrally based services, and for agencies providing services to people in their own homes. To help the understanding of geographical accessibility issues there are several sources of data, both national and local, which have been used to provide the information below.

  • Our Accessibility Matrix which shows the drive and public transport journey times to key services in the county.

Maps, based on the Accessibility Matrix, showing access to key facilities in Gloucestershire by car, public transport and walking.

Access the Google map of PIAPs (Public Internet Access Points) and internet training centres.
(Note: The map does not include public WiFi in cafes and pubs as per Europol's cybercrime centre advice).

This section includes a customer insight analysis showing the most likely ways internet is used in the county, and an interactive report providing more detail around use of internet in Gloucestershire
