Deprivation 2019 - Fact sheets - deprivation
DISCLAIMER: Every 10 years, alongside the release of the Census data, the ONS redraw the boundaries for our statistical geographies. Approximately 10% of Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) in the county changed in 2021. Data published before this date will use the old 2011 LSOAs and some government departments will continue to use the old 2011 LSOAs for a number of years. Following the release of the 2021 LSOAs the “Local Names” for each LSOA (e.g. WESTGATE 1) have changed, some areas may have the same Local Name but refer to different areas with different boundaries. When doing comparisons between different data sets please use the LSOA codes as well as the names to check whether areas are comparable, you can also check the 2011 and 2021 LSOA boundaries using our Boundary Atlas to view any boundary changes and name changes between 2011 and 2021.
