Census 2011 Second Release 2.1 and 2.2

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published the Second Release of 2011 Census data on 11 December 2012 for local authorities, and on 30 January 2013 for small areas i.e. wards and Census Output Areas.

Ethnic Trends in Gloucestershire     

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) have released the Census figures for Gloucestershire for 2011. The latest figures indicate that in 2011, the non 'White-British' ethnic population in Gloucestershire represented 8.4% of the total population, rising from 5.2% in 2001. The Census also suggests that the 'Black and Minority Ethnic (BME)' population accounted for 4.6% of the county population. The equivalent figure for 2001 was 2.8%.

Census 2011 Second Release

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published the Second Release of 2011 Census data on 11 December 2012. The publication consists of a total of 44 key and quick statistics tables on a range of population characteristics such as health, caring responsibility, family structure, housing, occupations, ethnicity and religions for all local authorities in England and Wales.

All data tables plus a selection of key tables showing changes between 2001 and 2011 for Gloucestershire and its six districts will be posted here shortly.

In the meantime, please go to the following links for all Census statistics currently made available by the ONS. The full package of statistics for small areas, e.g. wards, parishes, Census Output Areas and parliamentary constituencies, are scheduled to be released by the ONS on 30 January 2013.
