Covid Recovery: Reopening and service availability
We are phasing the re-opening of library services
The following libraries are now open for browsing, borrowing and computer access:
These libraries are open having taken into account Covid 19 safety requirements and access will be limited by the assessment of safe numbers at each site, and new opening hours will be in place at each site. Please check the specific library page for the new opening times.
Public Computers are available to book, up to 3 days in advance on a limited basis to meet demand and hygiene requirements. You will require your library card number and PIN to book in advance.
Collection services are available at the majority of libraries
Please check their individual library web pages for updated information.
Renewals and stock you have on loan
You are welcome to return items or renew by checking your account online or telephoning a library.. Most libraries have a book drop or letterbox (detailed on each library's webpage) Please return any items you have on loan and no longer require. It will be clearly marked at the library where to return items and please respect social distancing when doing so. Please refer to the frequently asked questions for more information.
The majority of existing loans have been extended to ensure that you should not incur new library fines during the period libraries have been closed (23rd March onwards). If any item/s have not automatically renewed, we will waive any new fines which accrue during the closed period. This will occur at the point of the items return.
