Cheltenham Library - Local & Family History First Floor

We apologise to our customers that the lift to the Local Studies & Family History area is currently out of action and has experienced some ongoing problems.  Staff would be happy to assist with any enquiries please ask in the main library.  We are working with the supplier to resolve the fault.


2019 Easter pattern of closure in libraries

All Libraries will be closed over Easter as follows:

Good Friday 19th April CLOSED, Saturday 20th April CLOSED
Easter Sunday 21st April CLOSED, Easter Monday 22nd April CLOSED
Books can be renewed via the Library App or online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/libraries/myaccount

Children's Library 'Toddler Time' -  Friday 10.00am - 10.30am weekly.  Stories and colouring.

Aimed at pre-school children

Baby Bounce and Rhyme

Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00am -10.30am 

Enjoy songs and rhymes with your baby. This is a fun and friendly session for babies. As well as helping your child's development, it's also a great way for you to meet other parents and carers.

Volunteer computer buddies can offer you help with IT skills including using devices and library computers.

Monday: drop-in session 10am - 1pm

Tuesday: drop-in session 10am - 1pm

Saturday: drop-in session 11am - 1pm

  • Children's library: level access, automatic doors, baby change facility.
