Mobile Library Service

The vehicle continues to be unable to make its scheduled visits.  Following its routine 8 week safety inspection in March 2019 urgent problems were identified.  On further investigation significant defects have been found and given that the vehicle is of a customised nature additional specialist advice has been sought to establish what repairs are needed and the cost of doing so.  The full costs associated with the work are still being explored, however it appears the costs of rectification identified to date would appear to be very high and will require executive and councillor authorisation to go ahead.   We continue to stay in regular contact with our borrowers and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
