Innovation Lab

We are working on new ways for you to explore, discover & make from home

Innovation lab online - coming soon

...as we move our workshops, training and all round lab experience online.

Just like everyone, we’ve had to adapt quickly to the ever changing Covid-19 situation. As a lot of you will relate to – we’ve had to completely rethink how we do, well, just about everything.

We’ve re-grouped and re-jigged. And we’ve been working away behind the scenes to re-design our website from scratch, re-shape our vision for the Gloucester lab, bring you new and exciting online content, and finding virtual ways to work with our brilliant partners.

We are working on some limited opening hours for the Coleford lab…and while we may only be able to accommodate 1-2 members at a time we can’t wait to be back, and will keep you posted.

We’ve all seen how fast innovation has moved in these strange and uncertain times…we are well on our way to bringing you live online workshops & training – extending our reach further than we could have imagined just a few short months ago.

You can already try your hand at coding and 3D modelling on our Youtube channel.

For those of you with memberships, or sponsored places – please don’t worry. We will roll you membership over until we are up and running in an accessible way again.

It's a lab Jim, but not as we know it.

Funded by Gfirst LEP as part of their Growth Hub Network expansion, the first innovation lab opened its doors in Coleford library July 2019 – and back then we would never have imagined having to adapt to the times we find ourselves in today.

Before Covid-19 the lab was thriving, as we supported schools to explore new technology, helped businesses to discover practical applications and encouraged our community to make and experiment.

It used to look a little something like this.

We are really proud of the friendly creative makerspace and community we created, and while we miss seeing you all in person, our mission remains the same – to inspire, engage and up-skill people of all ages to have fun while building confidence in using virtual reality, 3D modelling, printing, design & coding.

While it may look and feel a bit different, and it may take a little getting used to, we can’t wait to introduce you to the innovation lab online.

Stay connected...

Our website will be live any day now, but if you just can’t wait a minute longer, like and follow @ilabnetwork on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook.
