Disruption to library services

We are currently experiencing high numbers of staff shortages. As a result some of our libraries are working on reduced hours and services or temporary closures.
For up to date information we advise checking your local library’s opening times before making a trip Library Locations & Opening Hours

Library Clubs

Library Clubs provide a social activity for people who would otherwise struggle to access library services themselves. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help people to choose reading/listening materials or use a library computer. Meet others over a cup of tea and a chat.

In most cases we can provide transport to the library. Contact us for more information 01452 426973 libraryhelp@gloucestershire.gov.uk or if you would like to volunteer.

Some Library Clubs are currently at full capacity - please speak to a member of staff to add your name to a waiting list.

Please note that not all libraries have a Library Club

Share A Poem

Join one of our friendly Share a Poem groups who meet regularly in a relaxed setting to share and talk about poetry.

Our groups are all inclusive and we welcome people who are experiencing memory loss, their close relatives and friends, to join us.
