Libraries have books to help people manage a range of health conditions. The collections include helpful information about common mental health for both adults and young people; dementia; long term physical conditions, as well as books to lift your mood.
Recommended Books for Mental Health
Reading Well Books on Prescription are books recommended by health professionals. They may be prescribed or borrowed from any Gloucestershire Library
Books on the list have been carefully selected and are designed to cover a range of mild to moderate mental health conditions including stress, anxiety, anger, phobias and depression.

Reading Well for Dementia
There are 25 books about dementia. The dementia leaflet includes all of the titles and there is also a synopsis available which summarises content.
These specially chosen books will provide help and support for people with dementia, carers of people with dementia and anyone who would like to find out more about the condition or is worried about symptoms.
