The global pandemic we are currently experiencing has opened up new opportunities for me and my family, like a new family member. Back in October we lost our best friend, Alfie. He was a golden retriever and was our first family pet. After he passed away there has been a paw print shaped hole in our hearts and finally a smaller paw has come to fill it (imagine the scene from the lion king where Simba steps in Mufasa's print). Bailey is the first ever golden puppy I have actually seen in real life and he did not disappoint my expectations.
One week into homeschool I decided to check out pets4homes and found a fresh litter of golden retrievers located 2hours away in Wales, but with a little persuasion and a few promises, mum called the breeder and we chose our puppy, Mr red.
After the longest 6 weeks of my life a tiny golden pup came into our home (I cried) and made us all so happy and continues to do so many weeks later. Bailey is my first puppy experience and even though my legs are covered in scratches and I can't go an hour without being bitten. I wouldn't trade him for the world.
