Covid-19: At the moment libraries remain closed in line with the Prime Minister’s announcement on the 10th May 2020 and the phased recovery plan. We are currently working on plans which will provide library services that are safe for our customers and staff when the easing of restrictions enables us to do so.

Our response to Covid 19:

All County Council run libraries and Community Access points will be closed from Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice.

Community Libraries

Berkeley, Bream, Brockworth, Lechlade, Minchinhampton, Mitcheldean, Newnham and Painswick Communities Libraries are all closed until further notice.

Please check their individual library web pages for updated information.

Information for customers:

 

  • Please be aware that there will be no fines applied to any items that are due back during this period. 
  • Request services such as Inter Library loan and Music set requests have been suspended
  • Your membership will not expire during this period - this will enable you to access online materials
  • eBooks, eAudio and eMagazine services are available with new titles being added 
  • Although Library Services for Education is closed at the moment, the team has busy helping compile a list of resources to support home educating parents, schools and families 
  • Plus we have uploaded some amazing storytimes and Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions on to our YouTube channel
