Home Education
As a result of partnership funding from Education Performance and Inclusion, Library Services for Education is able to provide a range of books and other resources to support home educators and their families free of charge.
What we can provide
- LSE can loan resources to Home Educators across Gloucestershire, for children ranging from pre-school to lower KS3 (Year 7).
- Our resources are mainly books, including picture books, fiction and non-fiction, although we also have a small collection of non-fiction educational DVDs.
- We don’t stock reading schemes, such as the Oxford Reading Tree, however our fiction titles can be used to support a range of reading levels.
- Our non-fiction stock covers a range of subjects across the primary curriculum - the books are for topic support as opposed to ‘textbooks’.
How to borrow from us
- We don’t have lists of the book titles or topics that we stock but if you have topics you would like to borrow resources for, just contact us and we will let you know what we can provide.
- We loan items per term for the three main school terms (i.e. Autumn, Spring, Summer).
- We will deliver resources to your nearest local library for collection.
If you would like to set up an account to borrow from us or have any queries about the services we provide please contact us.
