Now in its second year, this event is open to anyone with an interest in primary and secondary music including Music Education Hub Curriculum Leads and those responsible for SMEP, music advisors, primary music coordinators, secondary music teachers, instrumental teachers, and music education academics.
BBC Ten Pieces has an exciting opportunity for teachers at primary schools and organisations using Ten Pieces to get some hands on experience and advice from professional music leaders and work alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
Entries have just opened for the Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year 2018 contest, which offers a £500 cash prize and performance platform at the Cheltenham Music Festival, the Carducci Festival, as well as concerto concerts with the Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra and Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra.

Auditions are for entry into both the Junior Choir (upper voices age 9 – Year 9) and the Senior Choir (SATB, girls Year 10+ and boys with changed voices). The choirs meet twice a year, at Easter and in the summer, for 6 day residential courses.
