Inclusion Gloucestershire are offering free training for PA's and their employers, covering a range of topics.
An assistant can provide anything from an extra pair of hands to a high level of personal care. It’s all about giving disabled people and families with disabled children the freedom to live how they want to with the right help, care and support.
“It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done care work before, as long as you are willing to give it a go, are flexible, disability-aware and are not afraid to give things a try.”
“What’s great about being a PA is having that bond with that person and knowing that they are enjoying their day.”
“It has enabled my son to do lots of amazing, fun activities without having ‘Mum’ along the whole time.”
“If you’re thinking about PA work give it a go, be yourself and be willing to try anything, even things you haven’t done before. It’s really rewarding.”
