Gloucestershire's climate change strategy

Climate change is happening everywhere. We can see the effects all over the world with the large scale flooding, forest fires, melting ice caps and the loss of wildlife.

It is time to accept that our climate is changing and we need to act now.

Youth climate panel

We have also set up the youth climate panel which has 40 members aged 16 - 25. The panel represents the young people of the county and is being a member gives them the opportunity to have their say on:

  • what the county council will do to act on climate change;
  • how we can encourage people to behave in a more sustainable way; and
  • our climate change policy and action plan.
