Many people are unaware that their banks are heavily involved in investing their hard earned money in the burning of fossil fuels which is one of the leading causes of the climate emergency.

Switching to a more ethical bank is super easy now and ensures that you are supporting sustainable alternatives, you can use this website to begin the process (I switched to the Coop bank and have been very happy with them).

You can also switch your home energy suppliers to a green alternative, which helps fund new renewables in the UK rather than burning fossil fuels. This is also really easy to do, and most households find their bills also decrease. You can use a website like The Switch for more info on how to do this.

These are two examples of the biggest positive impact anyone can make on the climate emergency as a consumer, other than direct campaign action (join your local green groups) and writing to your local MP about green actions in your area.
