Planning policy, Infrastructure Guidance and Economic Growth Initiatives

The County Council's primary plan-making responsibilities lie with the preparation of Gloucestershire's Minerals and Waste Local Plans.
However, it is also proactively involved in developing infrastructure planning policies for consideration through district local plans; and co-ordinating local infrastructure guidance for use, in determining development proposals.
Some local infrastructure funds are also administrated through the Strategic Planning and Economic Development team - such as the Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF).
