Sustainability Appraisal of the Waste Core Strategy

A process that tests the potential social, economic and environmental effects of the Waste Core Strategy.

The Waste Core Strategy is an important document within Gloucestershire's Minerals and Waste Development Framework. Its aim is to provide a spatial vision, strategic objectives and core policies for managing waste in the County over the next 10-20 years. It also contains Strategic site allocations.  At every stage of formal consultation on the Waste Core Strategy an SA Report has been produced for consultation. These reports test the options against the evidence base in the SA Framework and inform decision makers who have to consider whether the plan is the most appropriate given reasonable alternatives.
