Developing and maintaining the action plan

Action plan

The group will commission and own a rolling annual action plan to review performance and coordinate countywide activity on climate change. Actions could include; areas difficult to deliver individually or where shared delivery increases cost effectiveness and efficiency, actions delivered by bodies other than councils but which will be significantly strengthened by council sponsorship, and areas likely to be politically or publicly contentious but where shared delivery will gain better traction and support for action.

The action plan will be developed with input from partner organisations as well specialist advice and sector specific input. It is suggested that this knowledge is convened and harvested though thematic focus groups for each of the priorities identified for action by the leadership group. Where possible thematic conversations will be held within or alongside existing forums such as the Waste and Resources Partnership.
